The Left Has Perfected Tapping Into The White Saviour Complex
and it's ruining rational discussion
More and more in today’s society, you hear about two things more than anything else. Equality and climate change. Even these two ideas have been linked together as one in the same. Also governments and corporations are increasingly saying these two key phrases as they try and buy your trust, and your approval. Do you care what a bill says? Of course not, it’s written to combat racism. Do you care about the children working as slaves to mine the minerals to make your phone? Of course not, the manufacturer has a rainbow flag in their logo for pride month, and put a black square on their Instagram for BLM, they believe in equality.
This insidious tactic was started through corporate branding initiatives, but political parties have taken note. Every time a new bill is announced, it is somehow linked to one of these two phrases. Bill C-10 was sold as written to combat hate speech, when in reality, the bill has broad implications for controlling content you see. This gives the media simple sound bites to relay to you, the masses, so that you feel comfortable that the government are doing the right thing. It also gives an easy counter-argument to any protest. If you protest it, you must want to spread hateful ideas, and are most likely a conservative. You can see how this is such a clever concept to combat critical thinking.
Do you care about the environment? Great, so does the Liberal government, and they have now made their infrastructure spending green spending. If you question what it costs, you must not care enough about the climate emergency, and again, are probably a conservative. In my lifetime, the word conservative has gone from religious zealot to anyone who dares challenge spending or attacks on freedoms. It’s that easy to turn people’s brains off, even the brains of many people who once were the champions of free thought. Remember the gender equality bill? No free thinking needed, if you question the implications, like how it stifles debate about serious topics like trans people competing in sports, then guess what, you’re a bigot, and probably a conservative.
Now to COVID-19 lockdowns. This was a real masterpiece. They tied it to both the environment AND racism. If you complained about lockdowns, you must be a bigot who doesn’t care about minorities, because poorer people were more vulnerable, and that means minorities. Don’t think too hard about that though, like how many of them have been working throughout this whole thing anyway while rich white people worked from home. Why are you complaining about it anyway, you’re getting paid to sit at home, and doesn’t the environment need a break from us anyway? Too bad though, because right after we are going to tell you it didn’t really matter anyway. Freedom itself is now being branded as a tool of white supremacy, as lockdown protestors have been labeled white supremacists, despite protestors not being all white. Do you see how they use these triggers to subtly make people shut down their brains?
This is called the saviour complex. It’s a personality type that tries to always save people, and solve problems, even when they’re doing more harm than good. Corporations, and now the government, have found the key of mixing climate alarmism, race, and gender issues as a trifecta of people and other lifeforms to save. These people with the saviour complex are then encouraged to shame everyone else into following their lead, and even using legislation to back it up. Bombarded with non-stop virtue signaling from corporations in the media, and having the government tie everything to these three causes -even if there is no real connection- has made a mass of people who are stuck in groupthink. I called it the white saviour complex, because that’s the offshoot that is specifically the people who speak up for minorities, often saying things many minorities don’t think. Trudeau is a great example of this, he has tied indigenous people and the environment together to combat pipelines, even though there are indigenous people trying to buy the Trans Mountain Pipeline right now, because it means jobs and prosperity for them.
The other problem with the white saviour complex is that many white people make gross generalizations about their race and others in order to appear to be an ally, when this only creates more racial tensions. Many minorities see this issue, yet white people with this complex relentlessly plow ahead. A perfect example of this is Robin D’Angelo, who’s writings on how white people are inherently racist have angered many minorities trying to ease tensions.
Jagmeet Singh, although a minority himself, plays into the complex the hardest of all left wing politicians. Recently, after a Muslim family was run down by a white man, he said that “Canada is a racist country”. Many other minorities, strongly disagree.
So you see, it’s time to start talking to your friends, your family, and your neighbours about the real issue here. What’s at stake when corporations or the government can use shame to turn off our brains, is our freedoms. This is incredibly important in a world that is ever changing and growing. We never know when the next war or catastrophic event may happen, but we have to have sharp, clear minds to face any problems the future may throw our way.
